DESPITE the favorable conditions at Cleobury Mortimer GC there were only two players who broke par in the St George’s stableford.
Neil Brydon continued his fine form to shoot 37 points, a fantastic score considering he three putted five times.
One man managed to get to grips with the quick greens to shoot a massive 41 points.
Paul Jones was holing everything he looked at to win by a landslide.
“The greens were a pleasure to putt, they were rolling so true considering the abuse the elements have given them this spring, I hope to continue this form into the summer season,” said the winner.
Cleobury ladies pair Sue Griffiths and Pat Darby lost the third round of the Daily Mail Foursomes.
The Ladies Stableford was won by Heather Prigle with a score of 33 points.
Wendy Duncan was runner-up (31) and Darby finished third on 30.
Cleobury Mortimer lost their mixed match against Sapey 7-2 Meanwhile, Bewdley Pines saw Judy Hancox win the club’s April medal.
