KSAC veterans don't stumble in Stour

ATHLETICS: Three members of Kidderminster and Stourport AC won their respective veterans categories at the recent Stourbridge Stumble.
Steve Smith won the over-50s age section and was also first home for the club in 40 minutes 35 seconds.
Christine Sedman Smith was first in the ladies over-60s in a time of 52.41 and Ron Payne won the over-70s in 59.18.
Other members taking part in the 10 kilometre race were Mike Lambert (47.42), Russ Barnes (49.37), Joy Brookes (54.10, Mick Hudson (64.54) and Pam Manning (67.46).
In the last of their Fast and Furious 5km road races held on the cycle track at the Stourport Sports Club, 17 club members took part.
First home was Archie Roberts in a time of 18.42, followed by Bryony Haines 19.22, Paul Roberts (20.23), Mike Lambert (20.35), Russ Barnes (21.43), Chris Telling (22.22), Eddie Roberts (22.40), Selina Topham (22.44), Joshua Haines (22.55), Christine Sedman-Smith (23.18), Dave Vale (23.28), Clare Pawson (23.40), Pat Fletcher (22.44), Mick Hudson (25.49), Ron Payne (27.11), Gill Read (28.05) and Nancy Ingram (28.36).
Meanwhile, six members of Amazing Feet also tackled the Stourbridge Stumble.
The Stourbridge Stumble saw 6 of Amazing Feets runners competing in the undulating 10k multi terrain race.
Helen Hawkes (56th, 48.04), Ian Hall (63rd, 48.26), Gerry Sanders (80th, 49.34), David Pye (148th, 55.07), Anita Jones (164th, 56.45), Sarah Lewis (168th, 56.57).
Only two members made it to the final event of the Worcestershire midweek series, an 8km off road race around Clent. Stu Hawkes was third in 29.25, while Steve Hawkes was seventh in 30.09.
