ROSS Moorecroft won the Pain’s Mawley Milk Trophy medal tournament at Cleobury Mortimer Golf Club last Sunday.

After heavy thunderstorms on Saturday, glorious sunshine greeted the members on Sunday for the medal.

With a medal card in hand, many golfers were falling under the pressure with some high scoring wrecking some rounds.

Dave Walker was in fine form and shot a nett 70 to take second place.

However, the man in form was someone who knows how to handle a low score. Moorecroft shot a nett 63, despite bogeying the last three holes.

He said: “I have been playing well recently and felt a good score was not too far away, this is my second win of the season and my first trophy.

“There are some big competitions coming up, I just hope my form continues.”
