TRIATHLON: Members of Triathlon Kidderminster and Stourport (TRiKS) have been in fine form, waving the flag for Kidderminster and Stourport around the UK once again.

Most success has come from the half-ironman distance which consists of a 1900m swim, 56 mile bike ride and a half marathon.

Great Britain age group athlete Caroline Cresswell has made a remarkable step up to this distance by winning her section at Marlow.

Tyrone Potts also showed his fine form at the Owler Half Marathon in Kent where he finished 12th in his age group, 36th overall out of 105 starters.

This was an excellent finish as he swam a little off the pace, leaving him exiting the water at the rear of the pack. Strong bike and run splits meant he continued to claw back places.

Closer to home there were five members completing the Droitwich Sprint Triathlon last weekend.

Matt Thomas was first home for the club, completing the 400m swim, 20km bike and 5km run in just over the hour.

He was closely followed by Dave Bennett (1:02:03), Elliot Thorley (1:02:46), Anthony Edwards (1:12:37) and Faye Hopkins (1:30:33).
