MOTORSPORT: Kidderminster driver Nathan Freke secured his maiden victory in competitive GT3 machinery at round ten of the 2014 Britcar Endurance Championship at Snetterton.
Freke had suffered a setback when co-driver Ian Stinton had to leave at short notice and managed to overcome a handling issue in race one to take second place.
He took the lead on the opening lap of race two and successfully secured first place.
He said: “The first race was obviously very tough as I was pushing all the time.
“That second race however was pretty good actually, quiet – which is the way I like it.
“We made some changes after race one and that combined with a good start put us into the lead from the off.
“Thank you again to Ian and his team for providing me with a great car to race in this weekend.”
