CLEOBURY Mortimer put in a superb performance to beat Bredon in Worcestershire Division Three.
Mortimer won the toss and elected to bowl first and dismissed the home side for a total of 114 in 43 overs.
David Shorter (4-34) was in excellent form, while James Manley (3-14) and Ben Griffiths (3-11) also made important contributions.
Only Bredon’s Lee Diamond made any headway with the bat as he hit 43 runs before being bowled by Shorter.
It only took 12 overs for Mortimer to cruise to victory, although their target was reduced because of rain.
Griffiths (20), Craig Shorter (22) and Nick Griffiths (21) scored the runs as Mortimer reached 76-2.
Cleobury go to Chaddesley Corbett on Saturday. The match starts at 1pm.
