KIDDERMINSTER Victoria Seconds’ season ended in style as they won the Birmingham 2nd XI First Division with victory at West Bromwich Dartmouth on Saturday.

KVCC were too strong for their fellow title challengers.

Chasing 170 to claim the title, Henry Wright scored an unerring 73 not out as Victoria romped home inside 38 overs.

Captain Mark Mansell’s decision to bowl first proved to be a wise one as Stephen Yarsley tore out Dartmouth’s middle on his way to taking 5-20 as the home side meandered to 170 all out.

Mansell also weighed in with three wickets, while Jack Beadsworth and Andrew Kimberlin took one apiece.

Mansell also scored 48 in a match-winning opening stand with Wright.

  •  The Firsts finished eighth in the Premier Division after losing to champions West Bromwich by three wickets.
