WYRE Forest Phoenix Ladies got the better of Evesham United in the Hereford and Worcester League.
Up against last season’s runners-up, Phoenix were given a tough game by a side which only had ten players.
They were caught out by a goal in the first half and went into the break trailing.
But Wyre Forest improved in the second period and Emily Taylor made it 1-1.
After Chase Pheysey-Hoban’s injury, Vicky Hyde fired them into the lead.
Keeper Charleigh Lowe then saved a penalty and Melissa Knott completed the fight back.
In the West Midlands Regional League Wyre Forest were shot down 5-3 by Solihull.
Sadie Brown, Heidi Mitchell and Rebecca Carter scored.
The under-10s Raiders got the better of Kewford Eagles thanks to goals for Isabelle Gibbons and Rosie Lawley.
Molly Moore hit the target as Wyre Forest Girls under-11s drew 1-1 with Withymoor Colts.
The under-13s were edged out 2-1 by Redditch United in a match affected by heavy rain. Angel Childe scored.
