LADIES FOOTBALL: Wyre Forest Phoenix Ladies lost 4-1 to Evesham United in the Midwest Counties Female Football League.
Phoenix were outdone by a clinical first half display by Evesham.
Kirsty Roberts hit the back of the net after the break, but United sealed the win late on, despite Wyre Forest’s spirited effort.
The U11s edged out Redditch United 1-0 in the Ron Handy Memorial Shield.
Ellie Symons bagged the game’s only goal after good play by Olivia Wood.
Phoenix U13s were edged out 4-3 by Kewford Eagles West, with goals for Emily Crump, Izzy Smith and Jessica Jenkins.
There was goals galore for the U14s as they beat Lightwood Lions.
Wyre Forest’s attacking approach paid off from the first minute, Ellie Jon bagged a brace. There were also goals for Charlotte Morris, Erin Price, Lucy McLatchy and Sydney Harris.
