PHIL Knowles hailed an impressive team display as Kidderminster Carolians defeat Wolverhampton 33-8.

KCs made it three wins in a row in league and cup to confirm their resurgence in recent weeks.

Josh Winfield bagged a hat-trick of tries but Knowles felt the team, rather than the individual, was the star.

He said: "I was very pleased with the way the team performed.

"It was a great all round display by the team and I don't think there was a man of the match because of the performance.

"It was a very good win, Wolverhampton are a good side but everyone was smiling after the game."

Victory lifted the Marlpool Lane side to sixth in the table, closing to within two points of Wolves.

But Knowles wants KCs to secure a fourth-place finish in the Midlands Division Two West (South).

Kidderminster are just four points behind Shrewsbury, who currently occupy fourth spot.

Knowles added: "Even when we were missing quite a few lads few injury I felt we are capable of fourth place.

"When we've got everybody fit I think we are as good as most sides in the league."

KCs are also getting many of their injured contingent back as they head into the final third of the season.

Captain Rob Delahay was back fit at the weekend but was kept on the bench as a precaution.

George Morgan also returned to action and looked bright despite his rustiness Rhys Pritchard is also set to return for Saturday's home clash against third from bottom Ludlow (2.15pm ko) but player/coach Andy McLellan looks set for three weeks on the sidelines with a hamstring problem.

Knowle said: "Ludlow have had a bad run but they have some big players and we will have to produce the same kind of performance we did against Wolverhampton.
