CYCLING: Despite a stiff breeze hampering their progress Wyre Forest CRC riders Andy Convery and Andy Overton recorded excellent early season times in the VTTA Midlands 10 miles time trial.
In a tightly-contested race with 125 entries, Convery secured 16th place in 22:26 while his club mate Overton placed 30th with 23:00.
Race winner was James Middleton of Media Velo who was timed at 20-58.
Wyre Forest will be hosting the next round of the West Midland Youth series of circuit races at Stourport Sports Club this Saturday morning.
With over 150 confirmed entries competition promises to be fast and furious among some of the best young riders in the midlands.
