KIDDERMINSTER Carolians must tackle one last hurdle in their quest to secure third place in the Midlands Division Two West (North) when they take on bottom of the table Tamworth at home on Saturday.

Victory for KCs would secure a top three finish and see off the challenge of Wolverhampton, who still harbour hopes of leap frogging the Wyre Forest outfit.

Kidderminster are set to welcome back player/coach Andy McLellan and George Morgan but speedy winger Josh Winfield and Joe Nicklin are set to miss out because of injury.

KCs face a Tamworth side who have just one league win all season.

Director of rugby Phil Knowles said: "It would be great to end the league campaign with and win and make sure of third.

"We can't take Tamworth lightly though, we'll be going out to win the game.

"It has been a very good season and the support from the crowd has been great, we've had quite a few come and watch us."

Once the season has finished, KCs can focus on their North Midlands Shield clash against Bridgnorth or Malvern, which is set to be played at Dudley Kingswinford on Saturday, May 25.

In a bid to keep the players fresh for the game, KCs have organised a practice game against Whitchurch on April 25 at home and a clash against the Hereford and Worcester county team on May 2.

Bridgnorth and Malvern are set to clash in the semi-final of April 25 but the former are unbeaten all season and have clinched the title in Kidderminster's division.

They are also set to play at Twickenham after edging Scarborough 10-6 in the semi-finals of the RFU Intermediate Cup National.

Bridgnorth now meet Maidstone in the Final at Twickenham on Sunday, May 3.
