JUNIOR members of Wyre Forest finished a respectable third place in round two of the Nuneaton League.

There were first places for Olivia Jay in the under-12 50m breaststroke, Alexandra Hayes (9yrs 25m butterfly) and Grace Tristram-Brown (9yrs 25m breaststroke).

There were also second place finishes for Adam Newey (11/u 50m backstroke, 11/u 50m butterfly), Jasmin Yates (10/u 50m backstroke), Tristram-Brown (9yrs 25m freestyle), Mia Walton (10/u 25m butterfly) and Nathan Lad, (9 yrs 25m backstroke).

There were also runner-up spots for the boys under-11s medley relay team of Newey, Eddie Cox, Alfie Myers and Aaron Lad, while the 9yr girls medley foursome of Lola Morgan, Tristram-Brown, Alexandra Hayes and Esme Marsters also came second.

In the boys under-11s freestyle, the relay quartet of Adam Newey, Robert Darybshire, Aaron Lad and Eddie Cox also came second, while in the boys 10/u medley relay, Ben Goddard, James Rushton, Jeremy Summers and Archie Bellingham repeated the feat.

There was also second place in the girls 9yrs freestyle for Tristram-Brown, Isobella Wilkinson, Lola Morgan and Alexandra Hayes.

Meanwhile, 35 members of the clubs from the County Development and Progression Squads took part in the Haden Hill Open Meet at Wolverhampton.

At the end of the meet, the final medal tally for Wyre Forest was 23 gold, 20 silver and 27 bronze medals, which helped Wyre Forest finish second out of 12 teams in the top team trophy.
