CRICKET: Kidderminster Victoria thirds kept the pressure on the leaders in the Worcestershire League Division Four with a three wicket win over Oldswinford and Stourbridge.

Replying to 251-1, KVCC reached the target in the 47th over with Aaron Dickens top scoring with a classy 86 and the other main run scorers being James Williams (52), Sam Beadsworth (32) and Luke Mahon (32no). In Division Three 2nd XI, KVCC fourths beat Oldswinford and Stourbridge Social by one wicket in the last over of the innings.

Oldswinford and Stourbridge Social Club batted first and score 211 all out, with George Davis taking 4-47.

KVCC looked set for a comfortable victory with Matt Davies hitting 82, despite a broken finger, and Rez Karim scoring 30.

But a flurry of late wickets, including thrree in the penultimate over the innings left tail-ender Tom Davies to hit the winning runs with just four balls to spare.

In Division Seven South, KVCC fifths lost to Evesham thirds by four wickets, with Leon Burke top scoring with 72.
