SWIMMING: Olivia Jay lead the way the way for Wyre Forest SC at the Midland Regional Age Group Championships.
The club sent a three-strong squad to Coventry, which produced a series of strong displays.
Jay, 12, competed in the 50 metre breaststroke heats and made it through to the 13yrs final, where she secured fourth place.
This was an impressive performance for a young swimmer, competing against older girls, She then held her nerve to gain one place in the final and take the bronze medal and become the third fastest girl in this stroke in the Midlands Region.
Olivia also finished 10th in the 50m backstroke and 17th in the 100m breaststroke.
Abbie Rowley qualified for two finals. She competed in the 50m butterfly, where she'd qualified eighth in the heats but finished in sixth place having gained two places in the final.
Rowley also qualified for the 50m freestyle final, finishing in fifth place with a new personal best time. She also finished 17th in the 50 breaststroke and 24th in the 50m backstroke.
Ryan Larkin finished 14th in the 50m backstroke and 22nd in the 50m breaststroke.
