GOLF: Juniors from Kidderminster GC saw a youthful side bag a draw against North Worcestershire in the West Midlands Junior League.
This was despite putting out a team fielding a number of new high handicap players, the youngest of which was nine years old.
Ethan Davies holed a 15-foot putt on the last to gain a valuable away point.
Kidderminster’s scratch team led by Mark Dudley had a great 6-2 win at home on Sunday against Penn.
The Kidderminster team was Henry James, Craig Richardson, Mark Dudley, Luke Rogers, Will Painter, James Bulmer, Steve Beddoes and Dave Taylor.
Results - Ladies Committee Bowl & EG Medal: 1 Wendy Ray nett 70; 2 L J Clarke nett 74; 3 Karen Greenfield nett 74.
Mid Week Stableford: 1 Joshua Thorpe 37 points; 2 Henry James 36; 3 David Taylor 35.
Mid-week nine hole stableford: 1 David Jones 38 points; 2 Melvyn Davies 35; 3 Alan Gregory 35.
