CRICKET: Kidderminster Victoria seconds beat Brockhampton by eight wickets, scoring 155-2 off 34.4 overs after their opponents finished on 154 for 8 off 31.1 overs.

Highlights included schoolboy James Kinder taking 5-43 off 10.1 overs, and Andy Kimberlin knocking up 54 runs before being out lbw.

KVCC’s thirds beat Halesowen by 61 runs, finishing on 278-5, with John Wenham scoring an impressive 147 and James Williams backing up with 51.

In the bowling, Luke Mahon took three wickets for 37 in eight overs.

In the fourths, James Smith and James Rawlings had an excellent partnership, Smith finishing on 67 not out and Rawlings 45 not out to give a six-wicket victory over Bartestree and Lugwardine.

KVCC’s U11s and U14s continued their unbeaten runs with victories against OEs and Droitwich.

Tom Powell scored 17 runs and took 2-10 in the U11 pairs fixture in which KVCC scored 123-3, with OEs finishing on 91-6.

Joe Miszkowski carried his bat 44 not out helping the U14s to a six-wicket win scoring 194-4 in 16.2 overs, Droitwich having scored 102 for 1, batting first. KVCC’s U10 lost to Alveley in a pairs game by just six runs.
