CYCLING: Wyre Forest CRC riders have extended their season beyond the midweek TT championship with a race in the Leamington C&AC promoted 10-mile time trial on the K11/10T course.
Steve Vanes was the best rider for the club finishing in seventh place from an entry of 98 riders with a time of 21 minutes and ten seconds.
Close behind in 10th position was Jon Howard with a time of 21.26, followed by Stuart Walker on 22.06 for 13th place.
Winner was Matt Sinclair of sponsored team Lutterworth Cycle Centre in a time of 20.00.
There was no time to rest for Vanes as he was in action the following day in his first cyclo-cross event of the Winter season promoted by Redditch R&PCC and Beacon CC, where he finished seventh in the Senior men’s category.
