KIDDERMINSTER Victoria Cricket Club are going back to their original name after a change in sponsors.

The Chester Road outfit have reverted to Kidderminster CC, which was the club's title for 150 years.

The change came after Victoria Carpets decided to end their deal.

Kidderminster have already put pen to paper on a new sponsorship deal with ARC Groundcare.

In 2003, KCC merged with Victoria and Blakeley Hall Cricket Club, who were supported by Victoria Carpets.

President Norman Broadfield said: "We are greatly indebted to Victoria and are delighted to have had their support for such a long period.

"It wasn't an easy decision to make but Kidderminster Cricket Club was around for 150 years.

"However, the world moves on and we are very happy to announce that Adrian Cooper and his company, ARC Groundcare, have become the new main club sponsor with immediate effect.

"The company has been helping us with work on Chester Road for a little while and I am confident that we will have a fruitful and successful relationship."
