STOURPORT UK Kickboxing were in medal-winning form at the English ICO Kickboxing Championships.

The tournament was also a qualifier for the World Championships in France in October.

With five of the squad already set for the Worlds, Stourport were keen to shine.

Callum Bingham, 11, fought in the continuous section and clinched bronze after winning his first two fights before losing his third. He then added a second bronze in the light mat section.

Jack Gwillam, 10, booked his spot in France when he sealed third overall in the light mat.

Ten-year-old Jasmin Smith bagged silver in the ring continuous group.

She defeated Welsh opponents Becky Davies and Sarah Williams to be crowned English ICO Champion.

Jasmin then stepped was then offered a fight against 45 kilogram World Champion Rosie Lockwood and lost a close three-round clash on a split decision to earn a silver.

Mia Clarke, 13, also a bronze world medallist, could only gain third place overall after being hampered by injury.

Shannon Smith, 14, was in action in the under-55kg mat light section and battled bravely to gain bronze in her first English Championship.

In the Women’s under-60kg, Bronte Lees, 16, fought brilliantly against the heavier women to also gain a bronze.
