STOURPORT were left stumped after their Worcester County League Division One clash with top of the table Worcester Nomads was cut short at the half way stage.
In a match reduced to 46 overs, Nomads were removed for 238 all out with three balls remaining.
Stourport skipper Craig Siwicki said: "We were quite confident of chasing that total down as Stourport has a good batting track where a par score is between 250 and 270 runs."
Having snapped up a wicket in the first over, Nomads Zimbabwean player Kaia then cracked 62 off 66 balls taking the score to 104 for two.
From that point Stourport kept a tight rein, Lee Waldron bowling 16 overs straight off to take two for 58.
Steve Yarsley then claimed three for 45 from his seven over spell, while Siwicki mopped up the tail by taking three for 13 from 2.3 overs.
Siwicki added: "The game was nicely poised at the time and we would have really expected to reach our target."
Stourport make the short trip to local rivals Bewdley on Saturday.
