STOURPORT Boat Club are calling on local pubs, clubs, offices, schools and factories to come and take part in the region’s biggest community rowing event.

The Works Fours rowing challenge takes place on Saturday, June 18 when teams of four compete against each other. Races take place over a 400 metre course on the River Severn from The Angel public house to the clubhouse.

Beginners will have the chance to spend time with the club’s coaches before the event to help ensure they are ready when race day arrives.

Prizes are on offer for winners of each division and the overall champions will be offered a Learn to Row course.

Registration is open at www.stourportbc.co.uk/works4 and fees are £60 per team of four and £20 for schools.
