THE Kidderminster and District Midweek Bowling League Division One pacesetters continued their impressive form with home wins for Franche and St Johns A.

Franche saw off St John’s B while St John’s A were too strong for Kinver.

Division Two leaders Stourport C defeated Ombersley A, the home side securing victory by 40 shots. SW Victoria continued their winning streak against Bewdley B, with the away side losing by 21 chalks.

In Division Three, Little Lakes are going from strength-to-strength with an away win against St Johns Tomk while Royal Mail returned to form after last week’s rain with a satisfying 51 shots victory at home against Franche C.

Kinver A tensed their bowling muscles to secure a 47 shots win on their home green.

Bewdley C are top of Division Four with one match in hand, their nearest rivals St Ambrose RO A also won their match unlike Carolians who lost out at Ombersley.

All scheduled matches were played in the Thursday Afternoon Midweek League, in Division One, Franche A suffered a rare defeat at the hands of their nearest rivals Oldington A in the push for league supremacy.

Kinver A used their home green to advantage again this week with a mighty 56 shots triumph over Wolverley.

In Division Two, Cookley B lead on 14 points but they had to fight hard to hold this position only gaining victory at Franche by just three shots, which was also the margin that brought St Ambrose RO A their triumph at Bewdley.
