FRANCHE earned their place at the top of Division One in the Kidderminster and District Midweek Bowling League this week with a convincing win at home against Cookley A.

Their rivals for league leadership, St Johns A, lost away from home to St Ambrose B. Oldington was the scene of an exciting game in Division Two with the home team the victors by one shot. Division leaders SW Victoria also secured a home win by beating Oldington C by 25 shots.

In Division Three, Little Lakes continue to dominate, defeating Oldington D by 35 chalks however their nearest rivals Franche C demonstrated their bowling prowess with a win at home against Wolverley C by 55 chalks.

Kinver A took Royal Mail to task this week with a 39 shots victory on the Marsh playing fields green while in the local derby at St Johns, St Johns Tomk proved too strong for the C team.

Carolians returned to form in Division Four beating Kinver C by 38 shots. The Nomads had a tough game on their home green eventually securing a six-shots victory over Franche Fancies.

Franche A remain on form in Division One of the Thursday Afternoon Midweek League with a success against Bewdley A.

In the local derby at the Crowther Rd green St Johns OB A snatched victory from the Old Boys B by 20 shots.

In Division Two, St Ambrose tussled with Cookley A to secure a four-point victory on their home green.

Carolians clearly demonstrated their home advantage beating Bewdley B by 45 shots.
