RAIN put paid to Bewdley’s game at Pedmore in Worcestershire County League Division One with the home side on 143-4 after 36 overs.

All the Bewdley bowlers performed well, with James Marsh and Andy Platt taking a wicket apiece.

Martyn Carr was very economical and Jack Mills (2-30) was as threatening as ever.

Bewdley took six points from the game which was intriguingly poised when the rain struck.

Bewdley host Belbroughton on Saturday (1pm start).

The seconds saw their clash against Pedmore also fall foul of the rain.

Pedmore had won the toss and opted to bat first but were kept to 106-7 in 43 overs.

Luke Groves was in great form as he took 5-30 but the poor weather ensured the game had to be abandoned.
