THERE was more success for a Kidderminster and Stourport athlete at the recent British Masters championships in Birmingham.

Great Britain Masters International Lynette McKeown, 38, collected three gold medals in the hammer, discus and weight throw.

She also collected a silver medal in the shot put.

The event, which ran over two days, attracts top masters athletes from across the country.

The competition was very strong, particularly in the hammer where McKeown needed to throw a massive new personal best of almost 46 meters to win.

She has been an ever-present member of the club’s successful Midland League team for a number of years.
