STOURPORT Hockey Club's ladies second XI lost out in their visit to Loughborough despite plenty of attacking play.

Stourport conceded an early goal on 10 minutes due after sloppy defending but then upped their game.

Although the visitors made multiple counter attacks which produced chances from short corners they failed to find the net and the first half finished 1-0.

The second half started with both teams applying pressure however it was Loughborough who capitalised with a goal on 59 minutes after a short corner.

Although Stourport continued to attack they fell three behind with four minutes to go.

Loughborough broke free and were able to dribble into the D to place the ball over the keeper.

Final score Loughborough 3 Stourport 0.

Meanwhile, the club's ladies' first XI will be heading to Swansea for an away fixture on Saturday (October 1) looking to build on a home win.
