STOURPORT Swifts boss Mark Phillips says his young side is growing with every game.

Swifts ended a three-game winless run last Saturday with a 5-1 success at bottom-placed side Tividale.

On-loan Harriers forward Dan Sweeney netted on debut to add to braces from Joe Phillips and Reece Shilvock.

They failed to back that up when falling to a 2-0 loss at home to Coleshill Town but the manager is encouraged by how his players are improving.

Phillips said: "We are growing all the time and there is a lot more improvement still to come as well. Besides our games against Coventry and Cadbury I have been pleased with our performances.

"I wasn't displeased with the showing against Coleshill. We were always in the game and asked a few questions as well.

"It was important we got the win at Tividale and we went on and got the points even though we let them back in it after we'd got an early goal."

Swifts could welcome back Paul Hurrell from a hamstring injury for this Saturday's trip to fifth-placed Lye Town.
