Gloucester Level 2 Open Meet
Wyre Forest took 14 swimmers to the Gloucester SC Open Meet at the GL1 Leisure Centre for their first Open Meet of the season.
The focus for the meet was to maintain or improve the skill practices they had developed in training whilst racing.
Head Coach John Dougall stated, ‘I was deeply encouraged that this was attempted through most of the swims and that the swimmers embraced the challenges I set them throughout the duration of the weekend.’
Secondary to the improvements on the race skill front, Wyre Forest swimmers picked up a host of medals and a high number of personal best results which John added was testament to the dedication of the swimmers to ‘do what it takes’ to influence their results.
