STOURPORT Swifts manager Mark Phillips has bolstered his forward options with two new arrivals.

Swifts have brought in Aaron Daniels from Alvechurch and Mike Turner from Truro City.

Both men have also had spells with Halesowen Town in the past.

The duo are both in line for Saturday’s league clash at Loughborough University.

Phillips said: “It’s good to have more attacking options. It gives us that flexibility to change or shape and system.

“We now have a lot of forwards and wide players at the club fighting for places.

“It means others will have to step up and work hard to keep their place in the side.”

Stourport go into the weekend buoyed by their progress in the Worcestershire Senior Urn on Tuesday night.

They beat Alvechurch 5-3 on penalties after the game ended 1-1 thanks to Reece Shilvock’s second-half equaliser.

Phillips added: “We started poorly and they deserved their early lead. After that we bossed the game and were the better side in the second half.

“We now need to take that performance into the next game and look to start on the front foot.”
