WYRE Forest CRC junior rider Kinga Ingram had her best result so far in the under 14 girl's category of the West Midland Cyclo Cross league.

Competing in her first year of racing the King Charles 1 School pupil has regulary placed in the top six this season, but finished in an excellent second place at last weekend's races promoted by Newport CC in Shropshire. With six races remaining she is hoping her continued good form will result in a top three finish at the end of the season.

Another rider in his first full season, Louis Smith was also in good form finishing 16th in the under 14 boy's event and is now hoping to finish in the top dozen at the season's end.

Robert Grimes continued his run of good results with tenth place in the senior race while newcomer Stuart Ball placed 21st in the over 40 veteran's race.

The next race will be promoted by Wolverhampton Wheelers CC at the Aldersley Leisure Village.
