COOKLEY Girls defeated title rivals Coventry United at home by one goal to nil to maintain their unbeaten start to the season.
Cookley, who are 17 games undefeated, are top of the CWGFL Premier League and going well in two cup competitions, took the lead mid-way through the first half after smart build-up play was finished by the impressive Darcie Hancocks.
Cookley keeper Rosie Taylor made a save late on after a rare Coventy chance found its way through solid defensive lines while at the other end several long range opportunities from Jess Brett, Darcie Hancocks went unrewarded while Lucy Stephens hit the post.
