BEWDLEY Town Reserves put more breathing space between themselves and bottom of the table Azaad Sports following a 2-2 draw at Malvern Town in West Midlands League Division Two.
Goals from Matt Kerby and Aaron Cleavelly brought Bewdley back on level terms with 10 minutes remaining before pressing for the winner.
John Griffin hit Malvern’s post while Bewdley had a couple of strong claims for a penalty turned down.
Bewdley spokesman Steve Godfrey said: “We hit them with everything in the closing stages and were really unlucky, especially when Malvern’s goalkeeper handled outside the area but escaped with a yellow card.”
Bewdley’s Premier Division contest with Dudley Sports was called off owing to a waterlogged pitch.
The first team travel to Cradley Town on Saturday while the reserves play hosts to Wonder Vaults at Ribbesford Meadow.
