STOURPORT Hockey Club's men's fourth XI clocked up an amazing 18 wins out of 18 in the Central League West Midlands Premiership.

Their latest win, 3-0 against Worcester, means they have a goal difference of 67 and have been crowned league champions with two game remaining.

The club's ladies first XI dropped to second in the Investec Conference West League after losing to Buckingham.

The ladies were beaten 2-0 at home by goals either side of half time.

They will look to return to winning ways when they travel down to Exeter to take on Isca this weekend.

The ladies second XI also lost after pulling a goal back before half time in their division one match with Shrewsbury.

Stourport moved the ball around well and had a large amount of possession throughout the initial stages of this match but Shrewsbury scored first when they converted a penalty corner.

Stourport continued to maintain possession and create chances and when Sophie Thompson drove the ball to the baseline her cross found Jodie Vincent who bagged the equaliser.

1Shrewsbury retook the lead from another penalty corner and although Stourport pressed the ball high and created chances to equalise the home side were unable to score before the final whistle.

Stourport ladies third XI won 1-0 at home to Tenbury's firsts while a brace of goals by Antonia Worrallo plus two single goals by Lucy McLoughlin and Joise Lewis provided an eight goal thriller for the fourths who drew 4-4 with Kings Heath & Pickwick first XI.

A mixed Stourport side made it through to round four of the mixed trophy after they beat Huddersfield Dragons 4-1 with goals from James Taylor, Dan Petrie, William Terry, and Sarah Cavendish.

The fifth XI seemed set for a draw until Tenbury's seconds snatched a late winner to claim a 2-1 victory after being 1-0 down.
