IN the Investec Conference West League Stourport ladies first XI marked the end of their season with a 2-1 win over visitors Oxford Hawks.

Goals for the home side came from the National league's top scorer Lora Symonds, taking her tally to 22 this season.

The first half goals came in the seventh and thirtieth minutes, Oxford Hawkes pulled a goal back through Bex Oakes in the forty eighth minute.

The ladies finished second in the league, five points behind Buckingham.

Despite going a goal down in last weekends match, against visitors Cannock second's, Stourport ladies second XI fought back to secure sixth place in the Midlands Division 1, with a 3-1 victory.

Stourport had more of the ball but it was Cannock who scored first from a penalty corner.

Stourport continued to create opportunities and Sophie Thompson took her chance to equalise. Shortly afterwards a short corner by Leanne Bennett, was deflected into the roof of the net by Chloe Marshall-Walker.

After a restructure at half time Stourport played with more width and height, providing Racheal Howells, with a one on one against the keeper.

Howells, bravely went in reverse and found the bottom right corner a 3-1 victory and sixth in the table before this coming weekend's final match with seventh placed Matlock Baileans first XI.

Stourport ladies third XI increased their claim to second place in the Worcestershire first Division, when they beat their visitors Harborne thirds 2-1.

Stourport ladies fourths's beat their hosts Old Hales 7-0 in the Worcestershire second division while the fifths finished eighth in the Worcestershire third division after losing 2-1 to Bromsgrove.

The men's second XI finished bottom of the Midlands League's Premier Division after a 5-1 defeat at Khalsa.

The fourths incredible run of 19 wins in a row, which had secured the Central League West Midlands Premiership title, was brought to an end by Barford Tigers who won 5-2 in the last match of the season.
