THERE were mixed fortunes for Wyre Forest Cycle Racing Club riders over the weekend.
Veteran Ken Bradbury produced the best finish for the club with a win in his age group at the Echelon Cycles promoted LVRC event held over 40 miles of an undulating circuit near Malvern.
Karl Dee was fourth in his age category at the same event.
Aimee Lane, aged 13, took on some of the best young cyclists in the South of England and finished second in her age group at the Hillingdon circuit series.
She followed this up on the following day with a ride in the Worcester St John's promoted 25 miles time trial and finished 59th with a personal best time of 1.11:22.
In the same race Stuart Walker placed 10th in 59.35 and David Briggs was 38th with a time of 1.4:29.
In the latest circuit races at Shrewsbury Kinga Ingram produced the best result for the club with third place in the under-14s girls race.
Erin Boddice placed fourth in the under-16s girls category with her mother Vicki finishing 10th overall and first fourth category rider in the ladies event.
