VETERAN cyclist Ken Bradbury of Wyre Forest CRC has continued to add to his medal collection with a silver in his age category at The League International National Circuit Racing Championships.

Riders from across the UK contested the race at Oulton Park racing circuit which lasted for one hour plus five laps of the 2.3 kilometre course.

The pace was fast throughout the race with Bradbury always well placed for a sprint finish, but eventually beaten to the gold medal by four times champion Alan Forrester.

In the latest round of circuit races promoted by Wyre Forest CRC Jono Golding sprinted to second in the combined second and third category race with Samuel Jones sixth and Christian Edwards ninth. In the fourth category race Gary Jones placed fourth in another bunch sprint.

Stuart Walker gave another fine performance finishing tenth from over 80 starters with a time of 21.46 in the Bromsgrove Olympique CC 10 miles time trial. He was joined by Joe Rees in 33rd place with 23.12 and veteran Mick Gray finishing with a time of 31.36.

Another veteran making a return to time trials was Fred Browning with a time of 30.40 in the Walsall RCC promoted event.
