TEENAGE Kidderminster second XI opener Sam Beadsworth proved his form on Saturday against a strong Ombersley side, scoring 134 not out.
But despite the 17-year-old’s efforts, KCC could not catch Ombersley’s 318 and lost by 79 runs.
Their opener, Tom Oakley, also made a century, posting 103 until being caught by skipper Paul Edwards off Phil Pountney.
Kidderminster’s Matt Davies also enjoyed a century, reaching 114 before submitting to an lbw, in a win for the 3rd team against Alveley 1st XI.
George Davis took 4 wickets and Adam Davis 3 towards the tally which saw Alveley 117 for 10 off 31 overs and a 91-run winner for KCC.
A third century of the day for Kidderminster was struck by Simon Trickett for the 4th team, scoring 154 not out in a winning draw against Alveley’s 2nd XI.
Youngsters James Sheldrake, Aaron Dalton and Rhodri Morson, took 2 wickets each, backed up with 1 from Oli Davenport and another from skipper Ian Sadler. But Alveley held on for the draw, finishing on 199 for 8 off their 45 overs, following KCC’s 275 for 5.
