THERE were more maiden centuries for Kidderminster players on Saturday from Mikey Mitchell and 14-year-old Matt Hatfield, following on from the hat-trick enjoyed by the club last week.

Talented all-rounder Hatfield hit 140 for Kidderminster’s 4th team in a win against West Malvern in which the home side celebrated a 57-run victory.

There was also a five-wicket haul for demon bowler Finley Tibbetts, two for Rhodri Morson, both also just 14, and one for Hatfield.

Wicket keeper Joe Miszkowski, another 14-year-old, also had a good knock, making 74 towards KCC’s total of 318 for 4. In reply, West Malvern could only manage 261 for 9.

Mitchell scored 101 for the 2nd team in the Birmingham and District Premier Division 1 2nd Xl game against Barnt Green, but despite his efforts KCC lost by 10 wickets.

After bowling West Malvern out for 136 in 38 overs, KCC’s 3rd team looked set for a win but ended with a tie on what was evidently a bowler’s wicket, with the home team taking all Kidderminster’s wickets in 45.4 overs.
