A STRONG field of 68 players entered The Wharton Park Cup over the weekend of June 10 and 11.
The competition was dominated by strong winds which affected scoring, at the end of the first day the cut was made at 78 with Andy Gunn leading the field with an impressive 66.
Conditions were much more challenging on the second day scoring and the competition scratch for the day finishing on 73.
Will Burgess who emerged as the winner after an excellent final round of 69 to finish one under par on 141.
Second place went to Jimmy Sprosen with 143 and club captain Jon Shore completed the top three with 144.
