IN the Kidderminster and District Snooker league sponsored by Offmore Road Garage, Wribbenhall went to the top of the league after beating Pockets S 3-2 with Paul Harrison collecting two wins.

The contest went to the final doubles rubber but Gary Smith's 31 break made it two wins out of two games for the newly promoted side.

Pockets E started their defence of the Premier title by beating last year's runners up Pockets B 3-2 they marched in to a 3-0 lead but Pockets B fought back with Tony Kidd picking up two wins to give the score a respectable look.

St John's D recovered from last week's loss to beat St John's E 4-1 with Glyn Summers and Pete Smith winning both their matches. Pockets G beat Pockets A 3-2 with Terry Hudson picking up two wins.

In Division One sponsored by Offmore Road Garage, Cookley stay top after beating Pockets D 3-2 with Lee Bushell and captain Simon Gallatly both gaining two wins each.

St George's won 4-1, Franche won 3-2 against Workman's A with Paul Bowers having two wins. Three Lions won 3-2 against Pockets H.
