KIDDERMINSTER Harriers Supporters Team were victorious on Saturday morning as they defeated their Wolves counterparts 3-1, before the first team’s dramatic afternoon draw with Salford City.

With the Championship side not in action due to the international break, their supporters’ team were able to travel to Kidderminster to play Harriers at the club’s Centre of Sporting Excellence.

The match began evenly and it took a fantastic strike to break the deadlock midway through the first-half, as Sean Merryweather lashed home a rasping strike from 25 yards.

Harriers doubled their advantage on the stroke of half-time as Steve Clarke latched on to a fine through ball to round the visiting ‘keeper and finish coolly from an acute angle.

The visitors piled on the pressure after half-time and pulled one back with twenty minutes left on the clock, but as they searched for an equaliser in the closing stages, Merryweather sealed the win with a one-on-one finish as Harriers scored on the break.

The team are hoping to arrange further fixtures before the end of the season and any Harriers fans wishing to get involved should follow the Fans Team Twitter feed @KHFC_FansTeam or search for Kidderminster Harriers Supporters Team on Facebook.
