BEWDLEY Town will be bidding to bag some late silverware this season after booking their place in the Smedley Crook Cup semi-final.

Phil Mullen's men recovered from going 2-0 down within the space of nine minutes to defeat fellow West Midland Premier side Wednesfield 4-2.

Goals from Luke Morris, Ashley Stubbings, Matt Kerby and 16-year-old Luke Siddaway, the brother of goalkeeper Joe Siddaway, sealed victory.

Bewdley will now face either Bromyard Town or Bilston Town Community in the last four.

If Bromyard win through, Bewdley will entertain them at Ribbesford Meadow on May 16.

But if Bilston triumph, Bewdley must travel to play the game at Darlaston Town, owing to a problem with Bilston's floodlights.

Bewdley bring down the curtain on their West Midland League campaign this Saturday when they ironically entertain Bilston with kick-off time at 4pm.

The late kick-off is to accommodate Bewdley Town Reserves' fixture against AFC Bridgnorth Town Development in West Midlands League Two which commences at 12.30pm.

The reserves are still on target for a top four finish following a 6-1 win over Market Drayton Town Reserves.

Russ Godfrey rattled home two goals with Lewis Pountney and Ryan Power also on target while Tom Pepperall and Lee Barmby both scored from the penalty spot.
