ARCHERY: Wyre Forest Company of Archers are holding a beginners course at their ground in Upper Arley from Thursday, May 10.
Costing £30 per person, the course comprises four sessions of tuition on Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons.
Budding archers of all ages are invited to book a place and learn more about the sport.
“Although not as widely practiced as other sports, like cricket and football, archery is a very rewarding sport to get involved with, it is accessible to all ages and abilities making it perfect for families,” says WFCA spokesperson Karen McKay, who is currently ranked second in the UK for metric Clout and fifth for imperial Clout archery.
The club hopes to boost both senior and junior memberships in the run up to the Olympics and recognises the very important role that local clubs play in the promotion of the sport.
