Pair taste victory in Ludlow

TRIATHLON: Two members of TRiKS (Triathlon Kidderminster and Stourport) were victorious at the Ludlow Sprint event.
Taking on the 400-metre swim, 26-kilometre bike ride and 6.25km run, Alex Thorley came close to a course record in windy conditions to finish in a time of one hour, nine minutes 45 seconds to win.
Jacqui Phillips was the first woman to finish in 1.22.10 in 23rd overall.
Both will represent Great Britain at the World Age Group Championships in New Zealand in three weeks time.
Tim Spilsbury had an excellent debut in 20th overall with 1.21.43, while Emma Hornby had a great result to finish second lady in 1.23.03, followed by Deane Hart just one second behind.
Tony Muir finished third in the junior age group in 1.24.10, while Lenka and Steve Moore crossed the line together in 1.29.43.
Rob Reynolds was fourth in his age group in 1.33.28, ahead of Adrian Sabel (1.38.01), Amy Waring (1.39.09) and Jan Flavell-Raybone (1.40.58) who was taking part in her first full sprint event.
