Folkard convinces in gold
NAOMI Folkard scored a convincing win at the Welsh and Open Field Championships.
Folkard, a bronze medallist at August’s World Field Championships, struck gold after a solid performance over two days at Penref, South Wales.
On hilly terrain, the Kidderminster archer scored 362 for the unmarked distance targets on day one and 356 shooting at the marked targets on day two.
Her final total of 718 put her well ahead of Caroline Baldry in second place and Penny Cox in third.
