Alex is the Goalkeeper for Stourport Hockey Club, a club he has played for form the age of 9 and was selected for the men’s first team at the age of 15.

Alex was in 2014 selected for England’s National Hockey u16’s playing against Northern Ireland, Scotland and Belgium. And just recently has made the step up as he has been selected for England’s U18’s for 2016.

This is just reward for the dedication shown by Alex. He currently trains twice a week with his club squad, has a purely technical Goalkeeping session once a week, regularly attends national age group academy sessions and England camps, and finally has the occasional 1 to 1 session with Goalkeeper experts.

As well as showing great potential in the sport of Hockey, Alex also volunteers on occasions with coaching the youngsters at the club.

He is also currently in the process of organising PE lessons at his former Primary School, in order to introduce some younger children to the sport that he excels at and enjoys. On top of studying for his A-levels he also assists in coaching the girls u14 county squad.

Alex is committed to the game, and his club, and development of other players. He owes his success to the commitment and dedication of all that have given up time to coach and develop him as a player, as a result of this Alex is keen to give back to the game what he was given.

Alex has worked hard to be at the level he is at and if he continues to train hard, keep fit and strives to be the best that he can, it is evident that he can play at the highest level possible.
