Stourport Swifts 3, Rocester 0

SWIFTS made it back-to-back wins over relegation-threatened Rocester, Ashley Parsons-Smith, Lewis Pountney and Chris Morrison grabbing the goals.

And the winning margin could have been far greater had the home side made more of their chances.

Stourport could have opened their tally after just seven minutes when a neat pass from Parsons-Smith sent Jordan Jones clear but his shot cleared the Rocester crossbar.

Three minutes later and there was another excellent chance for the home side when great work from Pountney saw him lay the ball off to Jamie Hyde but his effort was cleared off the line The opening goal finally came on 26 minutes when Parsons-Smith found the net with a long-range volley.

Swifts continued to dominate in the second half with Chris Morrison failing to take advantage.

Pountney made it 2-0 on 58 minutes. A good build-up saw Morrison help a free-kick on to Jones and when his volley was saved by Rocester keeper Richard Froggatt, Pountney volleyed home the rebound.

The scoring was complete ten minutes later when Morrison headed home after a Jamie Willets header had hit the crossbar.

With skipper Gary Walker controlling the middle of the park, the visitors rarely threatened Sam Parker in the Stourport goal.
