Dunkirk 2, Stourport Swifts 2

Two goals from John Griffin were only enough to secure a share of the points for Swifts at lowly Dunkirk.

But the main talking point from this match was the three penalties awarded by the referee – two of them to the hosts.

The first came after just six minutes when Jamie Willets, once again acting as a makeshift keeper for the Swifts, brought down Cashel Walters who picked himself to score from the spot.

The visitors replied with an Ashley Parsons-Smith effort that was blocked and a Lewis Pountney header that cleared the crossbar before levelling on 20 minutes – Griffin crashing home a fine volley.

But Dunkirk went into the break with their noses in front as Walters fired home his second penalty of the game six minutes before the break.

Stourport saw more of the ball in the second half but were denied by Jake Want in the home goal.

The Dunkirk keeper blocked a Jordan Jones shot on 57 minutes and then denied Griffin moments later.

But with 13 minutes to go, Griffin was brought down and he duly fired home the resulting penalty to earn the visitors a share of the spoils.
