STOURPORT Swifts are set to welcome back key duo Jamie Willetts and John Griffin for Saturday’s home clash against relegation battling struggling Brocton.

The duo missed last weekend’s 1-0 to Causeway United because of family commitments. Defender Michael Briscoe commences a three-week ban this weekend.

A Paul Hurrell own goal sealed the loss to Causeway in a game that appeared to be heading towards a draw.

Chairman Chris Reynolds said: “It wasn’t a very good game but we were unlucky to lose.

“We’ve got six games of the season left and hopefully we can get a few more wins.”

Swifts are 11th in the Midlands Premier and have little to play for for the rest of the season.

Reynolds revealed that he has had 13 applications for the vacant manager’s position at Walshes Meadow.

He is now going through applications and set to whittle the list down before starting the interview process.

He said: “I am hopeful to name the new manager about two weeks before the season ends.

“We’ve got a long list and I will make sure I will let everybody who has applied where they stand.”
